a week out

forgot I even posted 7 days ago...

have to admit, things are not as good as I thought. I can walk and sit for short spurts though and took myself off the meds. the pain pills that is. I started a steroid pack today and hope it helps. I cry a lot, I yell a lot and spend a lot of time with blank stares and deep in thought about all of this. this is all i can think about. this has become me. I always thought surgery was last resort and would fix things but there are other options if it doesn't go as well as planned.

i did walk 20 minutes today.....

a week away

7 days from today I will be in recovery. how scary and exciting....

some numbers for me to remember post surgery....

If you workout hard, follow these guidelines:

2012 calories per day.
152 grams of protein per day.
202 grams of carbs per day.
66 grams of fat per day.

Split these up into 6 equal meals daily. This would mean that you would take in the following at EACH meal:

335 calories per meal.
25 grams of protein per meal.
34 grams of carbs per meal.
11 grams of fat per meal.

If you don't workout hard, follow these guidelines:

1139 calories per day.
101 grams of protein per day.
135 grams of carbs per day.
22 grams of fat per day.

Split these up into 6 equal meals daily. This would mean that you would take in the following at EACH meal:

190 calories per meal.
17 grams of protein per meal.
22 grams of carbs per meal.
4 grams of fat per meal.

back to the beginning -- 49 weeks out

well not the total beginning but back to the beginning as far as planning to compete. surgery is may 22. really looking forward to it actually! my left hand is totally asleep so typing is hard to do but I'll try to keep a journal of my recovery and goals up until that day. i can't believe I've barely trained for 5 months now! I've gained some weight I believe around 10 lbs. I dare not get on the scale right now though.... Still wearing a size 10 just tighter...

9:00 AM
ride bike at gym (think I can, think I can)

tomorrow -- 11:30 AM
pre-surgery physical

work on eating clean as possible, I expect my new protein powder from James tomorrow.

Main goals pre and post surgery
eat as clean as possible entire time, this can not be an excuse to gain weight.

my surgeon has very high hopes for me post surgery, I should be back in the gym full speed ahead 2 months after surgery

here is the link to the actual surgery...
