Sunday Happenings

Not sure what happened but I am having this weird reaction to something, my eyes are freakish swollen and look terrible I didn't go to the gym yesterday because I am too self conscious. I am going to go today even though it's not much better. ICK!! Plus my left eye is twitching a lot, gorgeous! LOL

Diet is much better and working on being on Reemo's contest diet 100%. I told him I won't contact him about it until I am strict for at least 3 weeks. I kept giving him false starts. I still struggle with this dang contest diet contstantly. WHY??!

Anyway off to Gold's.

motivator of the day


What you passionately and purposefully seek to have, you will have. What you passionately and purposefully seek to avoid, you will also have.

What you hold most firmly and consistently in your mind, you create and become. So keep your thoughts focused on moving toward the desirable, enjoyable and fulfilling things.

The most effective way to move away from what you don't want is to actively move toward what you do want. Rather than defining your life by what you oppose, challenge yourself to develop positive goals that you can enthusiastically embrace and follow.

Your life naturally and persistently flows in the direction where your attention is focused. So choose to focus on the best you can imagine.

Don't Flash your Lights at me

I was leaving the gym today...Making a legal left on green, no traffic in my way, no deer, dogs, ducks or milipeeds in the road. So I look to the left and there is some guy in an SUV flashing his lights and staring at me. Ok now what? Is my tire flat? My gas door open? My muffler dragging the ground? Is there protein powder falling from my trunk?

I almost pulled my car over to make sure everything was ok. I didn't, I needed to get to work... and guess what everything was fine.

So if you are reading this. Do not flash your lights at me!

Presidential Cup 2008


Here is the ad I made, that will be in the New Fitness and Physique magazine. 

New Goal :
SOA 2009 most likely in April and I am thinking April 18th to be exact. The competition is pretty tough there but that is not my concern as doing the show is. It will be good practice!

Closed gym and the ole oak tree.






Woke up and drove to the gym today ready to do lower body and SURPRISE the girl didn't show up to open it. So I had to drive all the way back home and get ready at home and drive to work shortly after. So I will have to make up the lower body workout on Thursday.

So I am debating cutting any kinds of candy or jellybeans out of my diet totally. Not even for a free treat or day... just make it totally off limits at all times. I think this is a trigger "food" for me and I may need to totally ditch any type of candy permanently. I may start this on Monday.

So we had terrible weather and a 80 foot oak tree feel again in our yard. This time it fell onto our neighbors fence and on their garage. photos to follow tomorrow.

Year follow up to Laminectomy

It's been a year since the surgery on my lower back and 6 mths since the cervical fusion. Today I am heading into the surgeon to do a follow up. There are things I can not do  like walk up a ton of cement steps... that I know for sure. I went numb for almost 9 weeks with that mistake. I am unclear of heels at this point, not that I need to wear them for anything for competition but still I want to know. My hands are ok, left hand has numbness most of the time including palm and when I lay down is always asleep. Feet are 95% better today as well as legs and staying positive they will stay that way.

Gym has been really good, I did DB workout yesterday for pretty much the first time in a long time. Low weights but still I did it. 

Shoulders - 4 sets x alternating 6 reps heavy, 20 reps light to failure 5 lb/10 lb db. Mind you I was using 25's UGH
Tricep -  same as above
Back  - row machine 30 lbs light/40 heavy
Chest - fly - 15/30 lbs
Biceps - 20/30 - using cybex machine and this was HARD, I couldn't make all my reps

Richard bought me a workout journal and I am going to start to log my numbers again so that I can see as I progress. Something important for me at this point. I may just be doing 25 lbs again some day. No rush though.

Now after 101 times I've floundered back and forth this year I am not going to hit the stage this year. Next year will make more sense. I am healing and I need to just get my mind right.
