Two Updates in One Day!

Still numb, stomach down to my feet but it's less for sure, I can tell it's severe inflamation. I am happy that the last time this happened I wrote down the progression in my calendar and see it takes about 12 weeks to feel pretty normal. I am only on the 4th numb Saturday so I have a way to go. Have to kieep tabs on mindless eating during this time. I can go and walk slowly on the treadmill and am starting that this week daily.

I had my RMR tested and it's 1555. In layman's terms I burn that many calories laying around all day. I was told it isn't that bad considering my last year and half. I will go back and be tested again in about 8 weeks after I can start to eat healthy again... Wish I wouldn't struggle so much with this.

Tulips and the Duck.. oh and my blueberry bush!

Well I was surprised to wake up this am to see a random duck on my neighbors yard. A duck? WTF?! I ran to get my camera and he disappeared. Oh well, but here are some pictures of the tulip garden and the blueberry bush Richard planted for me.

HMMM

Question: What happens when you have two back surguries in one year and walk up several flights of steps the first week you are back at work?

Answer: You go numb from the waist down again and have to take steroids. How do you like them apples....

So I am looking at yet another life altering set back. But I am in much better spirits this time, I understand it and the timeline of what to expect with this. I've never been much for spiritual readings but I decided to listen to the podcast of Eckhart Tolle  on  Oprah. Just in time I say, I have a much better attitude this time around. I've accepted that this has happened, it can happen again and I am not going to get mad about it. Is it uncomfortable? Beyond words... but I will deal with it and move on. Contest prep once again on HOLD. But life is not.
