Getting use to it...

It's an adjustment going to a new gym for sure. New people, equipment routine. Second day today and it's a bit better. It's a lot more crowded than I am use to for the 6 am crowd though. Now that I am not crazy about...

On the healing note. My hands are killing me today, both of them burning, sucks and my left leg and foot are numb. I guess I have to face it I will always have some issues here.

Whole Foods

I want to buy ketchup and while working upstairs from a Whole Foods is nice, buying "normal" things is practically impossible. I have 3 dollars and change with me and it's unlikely for that meager amount I can buy anything that resembles ketchup.

I just want regular ole Heinz Ketchup, not organically grown hydroponic beefsteak tomatoes nestled in mountains Italy before being hand carried over to the United States, only to be processed in a plant where men aged 25-26 with hands washed in eco- friendly soap, squeeze and squeeze to create this so called ketchup.

Ok they sell ketchup! 365 brand ( whole foods brand) I can't believe it!

Maintaining


So I've been tracking my weight since mid February and while it's way higher than I want it to be I've maintained since December. I've never been good at maintaining so I am not that unhappy about it. 

I bought The Most Decandant Diet cookbook. I just started flipping through it and will try some recipes this week. I'll take some photos and review some of the meals. Amazon had great reviews so I had to give it a shot. 

Heading to the gym this morning, planning some light weight training and cardio.

Giving myself a break....

First I will start by saying I am going to compete, 100% will and want to compete. That being said, I need to give myself a bit of a break here. I had two spinal surgeries in one year, I am still healing...I mean I walked up 8 flights of stairs and went numb from the waist down again. So I am thinking,  I should settle down and stop putting so much pressure on myself with deadlines and goals. It isn't  working it's making me struggle more. I keep focusing on what I can't do and it makes me mad and I need to let it go. No I can't train like I use to or run etc... But there is a lot I can do and I need to just focus on that. Goal is CCC ( Charm City Classic) I may make it, I may not but it is what it is.

In regards to healing I have been numb 6 weeks now and it's getting better but still numb and bothersome.   I believe I have another 6 weeks of this to go? I've learned you can't predict your future only your past....
